Meet Mrs. Christine Thomas

Welcome to Art!

Hello! My name is Christine Thomas, and I am excited to welcome our students to Art! I teach Art for Kindergarten through 8th Grade, and I look forward to helping students discover their creativity, develop new skills, and experience the joy of making art.

I have worked as an Art Educator in Catholic schools since 2005. After graduating from St. Luke Catholic School and Marshall High School, I earned my Bachelor of Fine Art from Texas Tech University. While raising my children in Laguna Beach, California, I taught art and exhibited my work at summer art festivals.

Today, I continue to exhibit my watercolor artwork nationally in both California and Texas. I also enjoy continuing to grow as an artist by taking ceramics and other art classes through UT San Antonio Southwest Continuing Education.

Outside of the art room, I enjoy gardening, traveling, and playing guitar at Sunday Mass at St. Luke Catholic Church.

Our Art Classroom:

Our art room is a place for students to create, experiment, imagine, and express themselves. Students will have opportunities to explore different artistic techniques and materials while developing confidence in their own creativity.

One of the most important things I hope students learn is that art isn't about everything being “perfect.” It is about being willing to try, explore new ideas, and discover the artist within themselves.
