Meet Mrs. Julieta Almayda
Hello! My name is Julieta Almayda, and I am delighted to be your child’s Middle School Math and Advanced Math teacher at St. Anthony Catholic School.
I have been blessed to teach mathematics for more than 20 years, working with both middle and high school students. I earned my Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics, from Philippine Normal University (PNU) and have had the opportunity to teach in the Philippines, Kansas, Maryland, and Texas.Throughout my career, I have been honored to receive several teaching awards, but one of my greatest joys continues to be helping students discover that they are capable of succeeding in mathematics.
My Teaching Philosophy: I believe every student can succeed in mathematics with perseverance, curiosity, encouragement, and a positive mindset.My goal is to create a welcoming classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions, confident enough to take on challenges, and supported as they grow both academically and personally.Student Leadership & ActivitiesIn addition to teaching mathematics, I am proud to serve our students through several leadership and academic programs, including:
- National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
- National Junior Math Honor Society (Chi Alpha Mu)
- Private Schools Interscholastic Association (PSIA)
- Chick-fil-A Leader Academy
These programs provide students with opportunities to develop their academic talents, leadership skills, character, and commitment to service.
